Searching for change
Searchlight Cyber is a cyber security company that provides organisations with dark web threat intelligence. They have the most comprehensive dataset based on proprietary techniques and ground-breaking academic research.
Today they help government and law enforcement, enterprises, and managed security services providers around the world to illuminate and prevent dark web threats.

Our work with Searchlight Cyber started with a project to review its brand and website with fresh eyes to give it a modern and updated feel. We conducted a brand audience and outcomes workshop. This gave us deeper insight into the business, service and future direction of the brand.
The workshop gave us actionable insights that we used to benchmark the development of the new brand’s look and feel and heavily influenced our work on the new website.
We commenced a rebranding exercise to help position Searchlight Cyber as the credible B2B FinTech company they are. Elevating the brand so it resonated with the corporate decision-makers, whilst keeping it simple. Choosing bold orange colours that help cut through the dark mode styling within the website.

Our next project was to update their website to improve UX & UI. The website design focused on pushing users to their case studies, creating a streamlined user journey where they can easily find relevant data through the menu structure and on-page elements.
We focused heavily on current trends around using dark mode on devices for the website design, which ties in with the theme around the dark web. It also mimics a more app-style design as the majority of their visitors were mobile users, which helps future-proof their site and brand.

Reimagining a financial institution
London’s oldest stockbroker, Panmure Gordon came to Rooster for a rebrand to bring back some of the brand equity and heritage they felt they had lost in previous years. We knew this project required a traditional influence, and while we took inspiration from the brand’s origin, we still believed it was important to add an element of modernity to ensure longevity.

We took a close look at the history of Panmure Gordon and reinforced some of the legacies that had been left behind. The team began in-depth brand research, dissecting every evolution of the logo to extract the core essence of the brand’s originality. From this, we eventually settled on a simple, yet classic Serif-based logo that was inspired by a combination of the historic Panmure logos.

A seemingly simple heritage mark elevated the brand. After establishing the logo, we rolled out a full branding exercise which included all branding collateral and guidelines, leaving Panmure Gordon with an understated, elegant representation of the business that oozes an abundance of confidence.
